My name is *************************. I hired Smith Way Events & Design and contacted ***** Smith aka ********************************* to decorate and design for a sweet sixteenth event for the evening of January 13, 2023 totaling $1,700. She was hired on November 4, 2022 and paid a $500 deposit on November 4, 2022 to guarantee she was available to complete the agreed upon services on January 13, 2023. Prior to the event date, she was paid the remaining balance $1,200 on January 3, 2023. ***** Smith provided an invoice summary that stated all of the services that would be provided in the event package we selected and agreed upon. The package included seating for up 50 guest, all centerpieces and table decor to match the theme of our choice, custom menus or place cards were included, real glassware on table as well, two custom backdrops (photos), four balloon *******s to match theme with additional balloon decor if needed for no additional charge, a treat stand for cake, and custom *********************** and cake pops or rice Krispy, strawberries were included (3 treats included in the package), all table linen if venue does not have chivalry chairs, and 3D number 16 for age. The business owner ***** Smith failed to provide the services in which we paid for. We didnt receive any treats at all and had to provide our own. Our invoice stated that treats were included and they werent provided on the day on the event. Also, we were guaranteed 4 balloon *******s and only received one balloon ******* on the day of the event. No additional balloons were added even though the business owner stated in the invoice they would be added at no additional cost. ***** Smith didnt provide a treat stand for the cake. Our venue provided some of the decor where ***** failed to. ***** Smith only offered a $50 refund for treats which was declined because we requested half of the total payment back from the business owner ***** Smith aka ********************************* and she refused to provide. She has been very unprofessional.

Customer declined treats , floor sticker, and extra balloons , also number 16 led .
the initial services was quoted at $2200 customer didnt want to spend that much she asked what could be done for $1500. We removed treats , floor sticker , and extra balloons, I had to convince customer to get the number 16 because it would be nice . She agreed which brought the price to $1700. Day of everything was provided for customer , she added 30 more guest which we did not charge her for because it was last minute so we had to leave to rent additional decor , the venue she selected had no decor we could use , they only provided tables cloths which were dirty so we covered with nice velvet ones.Once customer asked about treats I went over what we discussed . She got rude and started to beat on the walls which we recorded for our safety. Her husband told her to calm down that it was not that serious the place was beautiful she had already mentioned she was upset because she had a death in the family . So thats probably why she was so rude . Her daughter texted us and threaten us . It was just so much and it was very unprofessional. We offered her the amount that the treats would have costed if she had wanted them she refused we still sent the refund which she returned . Customer knows she didnt ask for treats . She was only upset because no one showed up to the party . So she took it out on us we have done nothing but be extremely nice to this customer . Thats why we recorded how disrespectful she was to us which really hurt my feelings considering we did so much extra with no cost . Its just so unfair people decide to be so cruel to small business owners when things dont go their way . I will continue to pray for this customer and her family maybe she will get closer to God and be nicer to people who are at her service .
