  The couple who own Affordable Screening have been so great about helping me thru this entire process. From the permits (and dealing with the county offices for me) and all the things in between, they have delivered impeccable service! I first called with more questions than most people have patience for and they answered every one, never trying to charge me for things that I didn't need. I didn't order anything right away, and despite that, they still answered every call and question with expertise and professionalism. This is the reason I made sure to hire them when I was ready! They didn't disappoint! I love a family owned business and their entire crew were courteous and knowledgeable! I'd order work from them again and again. Thank you guys!

  1. Communication is terrible. The phone number goes directly to the owners personal cell phone, he does not answer his phone. If you text, he will respond about 20% of the time, most of those responses are that he'll look into it (which he does not do) and never get back to you, or he will lie to get you off his back. 2. You may not get what you wanted and paid for. The salesperson went over every detail of what we wanted in great detail, dimensions, colors, materials, everything. But the paperwork used to record all of this info is terrible. We wanted the frame to be bronze and the roof to be white. But their paperwork only has one spot to check off color, the sales person said that was for the roof color and selected white, and that bronze was standard for the frame. Well, when they finally built our screen room they installed a white frame. They did not confirm the color was correct before they started. When I reached out to the owner about the color being wrong he said that was what was on our paperwork, so even though we had an extensive conversation with the sales person about color, and I have text conversations with the salesperson where we discussed the color being bronze, I now have a white frame. 3. They do not stand behind the quality of their work or honor their warranties. It has been 5 months since my screen room was completed and they still have not scheduled an inspection from the county. If they had done everything correctly to code there would be no reason for them to avoid getting an inspection done. And clearly they didn't do everything correctly, because there is a small leak in my roof, which they have been telling me for over a month now that someone will be out in a few days to take care of the leak, yet no one has. They have my money now, so they don't care. At one point they told us that their insurance lapsed for an entire month!

  The customer afforded us 2 weeks per our last communication to rectify the inspection and their minor leak. We had and have every intetion to clear the inspection just as we have every intention to honor our warranty and seal their minor leak. The response below was from yeaterday "I wanted to reach back to you guys, our service installer has been out with Covid. I have one of our crew leads scheduled to come on Monday to seal the leak and the follow up inspection will be next week. I believe Tues or Wednesday, I'll close loop when I have a firm date. Have a good weekend."

   

  To speak directly to their complaint, 

   

  1) Communication was difficult for a bit there. We had a large influx of jobs come in at once due to the storm and it took some time to integrate personnel into new roles within the company.  We haven't lied to this customer once, we have no need to. 

  2) There is only 1 spot listed for the color and that is because the standard color of the panels is white. We do not offer any other colors for roof panels. The color of the frame is the only option. The customer told the installers they had ordered Bronze, however their specifications sheet indicated otherwise and they opted to keep it as such. If they had concerns they should have expressed this to the office prior to install. We do not confirm color as it's checked off on their specifications sheet.  Additionally #** on our expectations sheet addresses verbal contracts. 

  3) We absolutely stand behind our warranty they have a small leak and it will be addressed. Leaks are not uncommon within the 1st year of construction on a screen room with an insulated panel roof. We did build their structure to code. I have no doubt it will pass inspection without any additional work. We Never told them our insurance lapsed for an entire month, as it did not. We did however tell them our liability insurance lapsed briefly as our agents father died during our insurance renewal process and she was out for 2 weeks. Which infact did happen & can be verified through our insurance agency.

  LASTLY I have documented this complaint, & the others they are posting with photographs and this matter will now be turned over to our attorneys.
