    Our new construction home was built with one of their decorative windows. The home was completed in November 2019. A few months ago the window exploded outward. It was a double-paned window and the interior pane is still intact. The exterior pane exploded with enough force to shoot glass to both sides of the yard and in the pool. Contact with Hy-Lite has gone nowhere. They say it is not covered and provided a warranty from 2021. Warranty from 2021 and highlighted "Broken or Cracked glass is not covered under any warranty." I've asked for a warranty that pertains to my window which was installed in 2019 and they failed to provide it. The 2021 warranty also states, "Hy-Lite® Decorative Glass Windows and Vari-Lite Windows include a 5-year limited warranty against fogging or seal failure of the insulated glass panel. If such defects occur, Hy-Lite® will determine if repair or replacement." The window failure occurred in the early morning hours of 9/23/2022. We experienced a drastic drop in temperature the night before. If something hit the window it wouldn't explode outward. Therefore, there must have been an issue with the gas within or a failure in the seal to allow enough pressure in-between the panes to force this outward force.
