      Twice I have scheduled service on a covered appliance and the repair man was a no show, no call, no explanation. The latest incident was April 2nd.I called Assurant 3 times to find out where and when their service man was.I got nothing but the runaround. They gave an 800 number to call and when I called that number they gave me the number I had called originally that gave me the 800 number. Confusing?I paid for service but am not getting service. Worst customer service I have had in a long long time.

      I purchased a washer warranty from this company last year. I've been working on a claim for a broken washer since December of last year. They've been to my house at least 10 times, each time requiring me to take a day off of work. Each time, they can't solve the problem or make it worse. One technician flooded my laundry room. Each time they leave, close the service ticket and make me start all over. Worst experience ever. I've spent hundreds of dollars at the laundrymat and on home repairs and still my washer is broken.

      My 2021 **** ******** overheated on 16 March 2025 as I was entering my neighborhood. I've had the vehicle for 11 months (driven a little over 14k miles in it) and have properly maintained it: regular oil changes at the 6500 mile mark, no aftermarket modifications, very little highway miles, and no off-roading. My commute from work, healthcare providers and neighborhood stores are all less than one mile. I purchased the vehicle with 60k miles on it and paid for a ******* warranty. The company that offers the ******* warranty is now owned by Assurant. I had the vehicle towed to Keffer Jeep (at the advisement of ******) on Wednesday, March 19th around 10:00 AM. I paid out of pocket for a tow because TWO of Assurant's contracted wrecker companies never showed up to my home, despite me putting in a first request at 06:30 AM. I put a formal complaint about it in with ****** that same day. At the time of this complaint, Assurant has STILL not reached out to me regarding my claim. All of the communication has been filtered through the Keffer Jeep dealership. I have sent my oil change history to the dealership and now my repair is being held up by Assurant's need to verify if my vehicle was actually towed from my home. Which I submitted a receipt for this morning. I feel my claim is being delayed to avoid paying for the repairs. I believe they are acting in bad faith to frustrate me into paying out of pocket. I only want my repair(s) to be covered and to be compensated for the towing service. I am a member of law enforcement who is also a full-time caregiver to a special needs uncle who I can no longer transport to medical appointments. This has impacted both of our lives severely. If a resolution is not reached soon, I will be suing for repairs AND damages by mid-April at the advisement of legal counsel I've already retained. I will also be speaking with local/national media outlets by the end of the week if I do not hear from Assurant.

      March 1, 2025 my Frigidaire Professional refrigerator stopped working, I immediately call Assurant how scheduled to send a repairman 3/4/25. He never even attempts to repair the unit, he says it looks fine and suggest we get our own thermometer. I call them back 2 weeks ago to tell them it is still not holding temp and now it's over heating. Same guy comes out on 3/20/225 and was here for 10 mins telling us he can't find the serial number (clearly stamped in serval places on the machines). Now they are saying it cannot be fixed and have sent me a GE gift card. This is a Frigidaire product, that is installed to connect to the matching freezer unit. This gift card is useless to me, as the products need to match (they are meant to be installed to appear as one unit). GE 1) does not offer anything like this 2) I did not buy a GE refrigerator I bought a Frigidaire Professional unit and will need to replace both if I cannot get the same brand. You call and get no where, you e-mail and everything says they will resend within 30 days. I have already been without a fridge for just shy of a month, and have wasted so much food. THIS WARRANTY IS WORTHLESS

      I submitted a pipe freeze that busted on feb 14, 2025 for a rental property on **** ******** ** ******* ** ***** claim number ***********. For the first time i was able to speak with my adjuster on Mar 14, 2025 and told me that I need to get a plumber report I ask her why she never told me this before I been waiting for over a month to get updates after leaving her voicemail messages and leaving messages thru customer service and emails. Now I’m not able to provide a report since every plumber I went to say it’s been a long time and repairs have been made ( I did an emergency repair) I didn’t know that a report was needed i been talking with Assurant customer service for the past month and they told me my adjuster sent an inspector to come assess the damage and that a soon she gets that report she would call me with a response. Until today I been calling trying to get ahold of the supervisor leaving messages submitting escalation emails with there customer service team looking for a response and still nothing. Now the siding has mold the floor feels like is going to break when walking on it and not sure if mold in the walls the whole installation got wet under the floor deck ( this is a manufactured home)

      I am writing to address issues with my claim through American Security Insurance Company, affiliated with Assurant, following a fire that severely damaged my home on March 31, 2023. The insurance company initially provided a check based on a 75% depreciation in property value. After nearly a year of requests, they reopened my claim and issued a revised settlement, claiming it was the maximum payout under the policy. However, I believe both the insurance and mortgage companies have mishandled my case. For example, the insurance allocated only $***** for a new roof on my 4,770 sq. ft. multi-family home, which is grossly insufficient. The settlement appears severely underestimated, and I was unaware of these issues until the final report was provided after the revised settlement was sent to the mortgage company. Despite being advised I could request additional funds for fire-related repairs, my attempts to contact the insurance company for assistance have been met with no response. I am at risk of not being able to complete the necessary repairs and rebuild my home. I am seeking your help to resolve this issue by mediating with the insurance company to reopen my claim and secure additional funds for the necessary repairs, including construction fees, appliances, and personal belongings lost in the fire. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      i purchased a couch, love seat and table set from this company on 7/23/23 and paid for insurance for 5 year warranty. since the purchase every peice has fallen apart and has been the biggest pile of crap i have ever owned the tables were so thin of metal on the legs that 2 out of three tables are broken and the couches have no filling in them because the back of each couche is blown out. i entered a claim and was denied. i entered another claim and was under the assumption that it included the whole set and i soon found out it did not. they said they will replace the couch only. preceded to tell me somone would be in touch and its been 4 months and no couch. I messaged them through email and asked to cancle the clsim so i csn resubmit the claim with all peices listed even though they were mentioned seversl times in this claim and i was told just wait till the claim settles and file a new claim. i do this and it is denied. i call them the guy says we arent covering your other items and if you lut in another claim we will just cross reffrence your previous claim and deny any future claims. this is absurd! i paid for insurance and i deserve a refund for the hell i have been through with this living room suite. i dont even have the couches anymkre they were so broken down they are in storage in case i have to take this matter to litigation as evidence. i want this matter fixed promplty and i want a refund or replacement of every single item i paid 2 grand for or i will see you in court . im not playing with you anymore , enough is enough. this complaint is for my own record when i file a lawsuit to show i have tried to remedy the situation and to no avail.

      We have been waiting for Assurant Specialty Property to respond to a claim filed 7/5/24 and again on 2.6.25 and 3/4/25 with no response from the company. Ever since the loss on 2/5/24, it has been impossible to get a response from this company even though they sent me a letter on 1/30/24 which I responded to quickly with the second filing of the claim as directed by their instructions. I need them to finish reimbursing me and close this claim so that I can try to get insurance from a reputable firm.

      I bought furniture from ******** ******* and purchased a warranty. My item started peeling , so, i filed a claim. The claim was approved and I was told I had to spend it in the store. Well, within that same month the store closed- bankruptcy. I called to see what happened to the credit, but the agent told me I should have called ******** *******, so AF could have sent me a check, but i had to call before January 2025. So, I'm out of luck. (I think i did try to get a hold of AF, but no answer). I still don't understand how this works, especially if I was within the 90 days and the store closed. I don't see how AF should have paid out, it's confusing. Thank you

      I requested a replacement device from Assurant in July 2024. They shipped me the wrong device. When I contacted them, they requested that I send the wrong device back before they send me the correct one. I did that, and they sent me the correct device, and I returned my damaged device to them. They confirmed they received the damaged device on August 7th 2024 (shown in the attached email). For my September bill, they charged me $****** saying I had not returned the device. I called and spoke to somebody who confirmed they had received the device, and the charges would be taken off my account in 1-2 billing cycles. The charges are still on my account. Every time I contact them, they say it will be 1-2 more billing cycles and there's nothing they can do about it. T-Mobile has been putting a hold on my account for the last six months while we wait for the charges to be removed, but they said they can no longer do that, and I am losing my phone service because Assurant has lied over and over again about how they will resolve this problem.
