  High maintenance was hired to clear a strip of land about 30x100 along with some side yard on .344 acres. There were one or two small trees but mostly palmetto bushes, scrub and brush. They came out and provided an estimate after looking at the property. The land needed to be cleared so that a fence could be installed for dogs. They were informed of this. It was difficult to get them to pin down a date to come out and the fence had to be delayed. When they came out, a worker stated the equipment they had was overkill. They dumped the materials they cleared on new sod instead and made a mess of the back yard. They left deep ruts and mounds of dirt. When asked to fix what they did, a person came out, inspected and stated it was not in the condition it should have been for the work provided and agreed to have crews correct. Had to make multiple calls to get them to correct, they came out, and still did not correct. Had to pay another contractor to fix what they would not fix. Would not recommend them at all.

  Homeowners beware! I had High Maintenance Tree Service out to asses and gave a price for removing this tree on Saturday, 8/12/2023; I made an appointment for the following Tuesday, 8/15/2023. Two employees showed up and determined they could only do the job with a lift. They made another appointment for Thursday, but they canceled. They made another appointment that they also canceled. Now it's Tuesday, 8/29/2023, and they once again gave a reason why they could not show up. They have strung me along for almost a month now with cancelations and inability to complete the job. The kicker is Hurricane Idalia is heading right toward us. I would not recommend this company; not reliable and prone to canceling appointments.

  High Maintenance tree service, was hired to remove the trees/brush on my 0.60 acre lot using a forestry mulcher. The work performed could have been completed with a tractor and a bush hog. Considering a tractor and a bush hog costs considerably less than a forestry mulcher, the amount High Maintenance charged for the work was a rip off. I stated I would pay after high maintenance completed the work. High maintenance refused to complete the job and proclaimed they would put a lien on my property as their way of settling the dispute.Then after I sued them and a court battle, High Maintenance only then decided to finish the job. However still yet, the lot is full of trees within the capability for a forestry mulcher. It became clear that High Maintenance tree service does not know what they are doing and use lien law to rip customers off. Save yourself the aggravation, DO NOT HIRE High Maintenance Tree Service.
