I had a terrible experience with this company. 1. They sent the technician and claimed that the pool was leaking because of the light and without repairing anything he said that the work was poorly done and charged $350.00. Then I sent another technician to check and he found a leak in the filter because the ring did not seal well. Then this company that was supposed to give me a report with photos and evidence of the detected leak, refused to give them to me and I then asked them to show me the leak to make sure. The technician went and when he was in front of me he could not find the leak from the light and even so they forced me to pay $175 more and even threatened me with fees and collection letters, so I was forced to pay so as not to damage my reputation.

We take complaints very seriously and have no problem making monetary corrections when we make mistakes, but there seems to be some confusion around what happened during both visits.

Our company was asked to come determine why the pool was losing water. When our technician arrived for the first visit and completed the leak detection we located a significant leak around one of the pool lights due to inadequate installation. Often times we recommend to clean and hydraulic cement this kind of leak in order to prevent further water loss, which is exactly what was suggested to you.
On our return visit you were stating another leak detection company came out and told you the light is not leaking and you have a leak at the filter. A small drip from the filter, which happens when the filter is opened for cleaning and then the gasket is not properly in place when tightened back, is not a pool leak. That is user error which probably occurred while you (or someone else) opened and closed the filter. Most pools are roughly 5-10 thousand gallons, so it would take many months, if not longer, of dripping at the rate you are showing in the video for the pool to ever show a visual drop in the water level. If you really had a leak detection company try and tell you this was your main issue, then they were not doing a comprehensive leak detection and looking for an out.

During our return visit our technician examined the area of leakage around the light found during the initial visit. What he found was a large amount of temporary pool putty around the light which had been placed around the leak exactly as we had recommended. We then took a video of this to confirm there was no longer leakage around the light, and we also confirmed there were no other active leaks affecting water loss. You supplied a video claiming it was us trying to find the leak, but it was actually us trying to determine if whoever put temporary pool putty on the leak had actually stopped the leakage.

We are always open to a customer providing us with additional information in these situations for clarification. So if that is something you wish to do, please reach out to our office @ ************.

P.S. We still stand by our recommendation of cleaning and hydraulic cementing around the light in order to create a long-term solution.

I fully understand the whole suggestion issue and that even though I dont like the way they handle communication with the customer, they are a great company and have a good reputation, but the only thing I asked for was photos or videos of the first visit so I could properly complain to my installer, and I never received that, and having already paid for a service, for which I received nothing more than a written report that did not allow me to prove the error to the installer, they decide to charge me another 50% of the original amount to try again and I dont think that is fair. But if you are okay with that, then I have nothing else to add, keep my extra $175 and the matter is closed.

As we count our blessings here on Thanksgiving Day, we put ******* and the others at **** Detection Services high on our list. When we realized we had a water leak in our 8 yr old house that our plumber could not find, I had nightmares of walls being ripped out and floors being jack hammered. But, when Leak Detection Services came out, they quickly located the leak within the wall and showed it to us. They patiently answered all of our questions about their high tech tools and how they pinpointed leaks. It was just fascinating!! It was so educational, they answered questions tangential questions too! Even though it was a bit pricey, I shudder to think of what we could have stumbled into with a less professional and less expert company. You dont want someone messing around with these problems and causing unnecessary expense and damages. These guys REALLY know what theyre doing & get it done fast. Theyre worth their weight in gold. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Youre the BEST!!!!
