      I gave my computer to them to repair my screen. They told me to give them a week or so. It’s been 5 months and I have not received my computer back. I have all my proof. I want my computer back fixed and I’m only willing to pay half off the price because I’ve waited so long I lost my job because of them. I work from home.

      Hello,

      As we have indicated to the customer, her computer experienced a logic board failure in addition to the screen being non functional. This cannot and was not fully realized until the computer is opened to repair. Electronics repair is a complex environment, and even though we do our best to explain all possible outcomes to the customer, cases like this do happen. One electric component can damage another, causing a chain reaction of damage to the computer. That is what happened in this case. Since we had already quoted the work for the screen only, we offered to do the logic board repair at our cost. Repairing the logic board versus replacing it saves the customer hundreds, but can take longer. Admittedly, typically not this long, however her computers logic board proved to have a very difficult problem to diagnose and fix.

      However, a major portion this customer is leaving out, is that, not only has she only paid a $100 deposit towards the originally $359 screen repair quote thus far, but we in addition to offering her at-cost logic board repair, we gave the customer a FREE RENTAL to use the entire time, which she is still in possession of! This customer was not without a computer for ANY length of time. This was provided at no cost to the customer, and I am not aware of a repair company that offers that service, all of the way up to and including Apple themselves! I am more than happy to resolve this prior to the successful logic board repair completion, however this will result in a higher cost to the customer, which is why we suggested this option to begin with. As with all repairs, E-Volve Computer is not responsible for the issue that is brought to us, but we do everything in our power to resolve the issue as quickly and inexpensively as possible. Unfortunately, this scenario has proven to be a long term repair. I would like to note that E-Volve Computer has served literally thousands of customers over the years, with a 95% repair time of less than one week. 

      I wish I could do more to make this customer happy, I just do not know what that would be. This is a classic case of customer expectations exceeding the reality of the situation!

      I am rejecting this response because:

      first and foremost they lied about me having a rental as soon as I gave them my computer. It took me coming into the shop composing again to even get the rental AFTER losing my job because they told me it would have been fixed at a certain time and it was not. Plus as I showed you in the screenshot they only told me I had to pay for the screen cracked because they did not update any price change so I have no clue about paying anything more than what I needed too. Plus I was told they sent my computer out which I didn’t give them permission to do. And they told me I shouldn’t complain because they did that for free. My date I gave them my computer was Feb. 22. I received the rental on April 13th 2023. As you can see I did miss a lot of days of work and there were days missed without having a computer. It’s not good lying that’s why I keep all my paperwork. I also went over there and they refused to give me the name of the owner because it’s weird asking for first and last names until I told them if he’s the owner im able to get the name I wouldn’t leave without the name and magically a card with his name appeared.
