They never put splash guard back on my wife's car after an oil change from March/lare winter 2024. In 2018, on my 2 year old Avalon, they tried to say my cylinders of my engine were leaking. After taking my car to Toyota, I was advised to write this review because Mobile 1 is a bunch of crooks.

Hello, I visited Mobil 1 Lube Express located at 1359 Newfield St., Middletown CT, on April 19, 2023. I exited my vehicle–as is always the case–and told the employee I wanted an oil change. The employee got into the vehicle, and I went to the waiting room. Shortly after, another employee asked me to come outside. He told me as the first employee was entering into the garage, he thought he was too close to the pit, overcompensated, and then struck the interior structure of the garage. The entire side of my vehicle was dented and scraped. The owner, John D****** was contacted. Mr. D***** provided his insurance information. I filed the claim the next day with Mr. D******* insurance (***** ****).Several days later, they called to tell me that the claim was closed at Mr. DeSena’s request, and that he was refusing any investigation or payment from his policy. My own insurance agent spoke with ***** ***** They informed my agent that *** ****** made several comments: First, he claimed I drove my own car into the garage, not his employee. Then, he claimed that the employee actually WAS driving, but that the seat was soiled and the employee “freaked out” and crashed the car. Each of those statements is completely false. Employees drive customer vehicles into the bay 100% of the time. My seat was not soiled or damaged in anyway. *** ****** changed his story once insurance got involved in an attempt to avoid being responsible. My car has greater than $5,000 in damage, not to mention the diminished value of the car due to the accident. It will take a minimum of ten business days to repair, resulting in expense for a rental car. Also, I have a $1,000 deductible which I will have to pay in order to have the repairs completed. I expressed all of this to Mr. D****** who promised to make me whole. However, I have reached out to him multiple times since getting my estimate, and he will not respond to my messages. He now appears to have blocked me from contacting him further.

I had my oil done at this business on 7/15 left with my car at aprox 3:55pm and within the hour my car began to shake and smoke. Had to get it towed. Spoke with John the owner who offered to help only if we took the car to his friends mechanic shop. It was an offer but we towed it to our dealer. Our dealer stated a lot of oil around above the coils. One of the coils shorted and now it has to be replaced along with the spark plugs. Coincidnece maybe? I felt like I needed to share my story just a reminder that as a consumer we trust a job to be done well.
