I hired JRI last summer to re-surface my pool deck and fill two holes. Alex, the owner, is a grossly unprofessional and hands-off capitalist who you will only hear from when he’s asking for money, leaving his proje** manager, Gizmo, to run his business. He once forgot a meeting we had at his office. He stated that he lost track of time because he was gardening, then showed up 45 minutes late in a dirty, sloppy, oversized tank top. The holes that were filled are not uniform, show significant cracking around the edges, and have a different color and texture, so they stick out like sore thumbs. While attempting to repair them, I overheard from my opened kitchen window one of the workers tell Gizmo “the proper way to fix it”. Gizmo told him not to do it that way because it would take too long, so they never got fixed. Try to get your head around a company that has “concrete restoration” in its title yet can’t even fill a hole properly! The pool was not covered properly during the sanding process, and I spent the summer cleaning concrete dust from my pool. When applying the coating, Gizmo over-sprayed the entire perimeter of the deck by about 8 inches, leaving grey spray on a row of arbor vides, pachysandra, decorative stones, and a hot tub. When I mentioned to Gizmo that the color was darker than the sample that I was shown, he a**ually said “Well it fades over time. There is nothing we can do about that.” Further, he refused to re-coat the expansion joints because it was not cost nor time effe**ive. So I now have a grey deck with beige expansion joints that look ridiculous! Overall, this was a SLOPPY job, corners were cut, with no attention to detail or to the customer’s satisfa**ion. I can honestly say that my deck looks worse now than it did before they came. Most contra**ors would be ashamed to have their name attached to such abysmal work. With all of the reputable, well critiqued concrete companies in **, you would be a fool to hire these *********
