On Saturday (1/25) evening, I heard ******* water in my ceiling & in the wall opposite my closet. I woke my two roommates who confirmed they could hear & feel the water. 5 minutes later I heard a drop land on my bed & then drops rapidly started falling onto my heater unit from the ceiling in four different spots. Additional cracks in the ceiling started to appear so I called the Fowler emergency maintenance line at 1:40 am & left a VM. The cracks increased in size & the leak got worse so I left the room as I was concerned for my personal safety. At this point, the entire edge of my mattress was soaked through to the wood frame below with gray water and the floor had a huge sopping wet spot soaking into the carpet. I have been unable to sleep in my room since that time due to concern about water leaking onto me and the ceiling collapsing. I had a VM from ****** - I called back & described everything again. I was told he would come out 1/27 between 10 and 12 a.m., but I would get a call prior to someone coming by to inspect and cut a hole in my ceiling and get a carpet cleaner out as well. Nobody called so, I called again at 11am to see when someone would be coming by. I was informed that someone had already been in the house. This violates my lease: when nobody was home, the property was entered and we did not receive a call or any prior notice. I had contacted Fowler on 1/19 & left a VM regarding small leaks from my ceiling that were dripping onto my bed. They called me back and told me they had a similar problem last year in one of the other units, and that there wasnt anything they could do and that it was an exterior issue. Due to concerns about my safety from the ceiling potentially collapsing, continued leaks, potential health impacts from gray water, and the construction work required to repair the ceiling and stop the leak I will remain vacated until this issue is resolved. I need to be credited for rent and relocated until the room is tested for mold.

We responded as quickly as possible and have taken all necessary and required action possible to resolve this issue.  Only so much could be done in sub zero temperatures with snow and ice on the roof.  We are mitigating all issues and have been communicating with the tenants to resolve this.

Sewer is actively backing up into my home. I have not received any information on the situation since I informed the property manager of the situation this morning of Father's *** 2022 even after repetitive voicemails directed towards the correct channels. Outside of my front door is diluted f**** and my bathtub is filling up with said diluted ***** matter.

    Business Response

    Hello,

We received an emergency call over the weekend about a drain backup.  We scheduled the soonest available drain company that came and took care of the issue on Monday.  The tenants were made aware of the situation and it was resolved as quickly as was possible.

    Sincerely,
