    Apr 10 2024. Job bid was $ ******* total. Contractor gave me an invoice for $ *******. Nothing changed from original quote. Problems. He left the house a mess and expected me to clean it. Material on doors ,door jams and walls. He emptied the saw debris and thinset in my grass killing it.Did not clean slate properly and sealed over it leaving marks. They did attempt to correct it by re doing some areas. I was charged $ 120 for extra sealer that he needed for his mistake. The biggest issue is he never put a straight edge against the wall to make it flat. There are gaps 1/2 inch in places where the baseboards and the slate meet. I told him He was more expensive than the other bids that I got so how can you charge me an additional $ ******* when there was no changes? He said you pay for experience. I paid him $ ******* I told him the slate was not flat to the base boards. He said I should of went with tile. I said that does not matter the slate was gauged to make it all the same thickness.
