On December 16, 2024, I took my car to Artex Window Tint | PPF in ***********, **, for window tinting services. They promote themselves as professionals and certified installers. I dropped off my car around noon or 1 PM, and they told me it would be ready in three hours. However, the work was not completed on time, and they handed the car back to me around 6 PM, just before closing, when it was already dark outside. The next day, I took photos of my car and noticed a scratch on the exterior after washing it that weekend. Initially, I did not want to blame the shop without proof, but after reviewing my photos, I confirmed that the scratch appeared immediately after the tinting service. I also noticed several issues with the tint job, including bubbles, peeling, microfiber residue, and poorly cut edges that were highly visible inside the vehicle. These flaws indicate poor workmanship and a lack of professionalism.I contacted the business to address these concerns, requesting either a refund or for them to fix the issues, but they refused to take any responsibility. During our conversations, the person I spoke with claimed that their work should not be considered "perfect or flawless" and described it as having "industrial-style flaws." This statement raised concerns about the qualifications of the person who performed the tinting, as they likely allowed an uncertified individual to work on my ********** security footage has been given to prove its innocence regarding the scratch. However, they refused to share the footage. Their lack of transparency and refusal to provide evidence raises further questions about their honesty and accountability.Given the substandard workmanship, suspected use of uncertified personnel, refusal to take responsibility, and failure to provide security footage, this business may be engaging in fraudulent practices. I am filing this complaint to ask for help in holding them accountable for the damages and poor service I received.
