My husband had a loan and credit card with upgrade. He passed away feb. 27 2022. He had auto deduction from our checking acct. After he passed they still did auto deduction in the amount of 130 and 70. They did it for March and *****. I sent in death certificate about mar. 26 but took out for ***** so I called and they said they were working on it and I would get a refund for march and *****. Did not hear so I called today and they said I was not authorized so I told them it has me listed as spouse. Finally got it straightened out and was sent to the resolution department. They said they could not issue a refund because they stop auto pay and whatever that was collected before is non refundable. I hung up very upset cuz death certificates take a while so I called back . They said cuz was a new account and had collected several payments they closed it being or refundable because it was a new account and they would have to take the loss. I told upon my husband death the account was no longer joint and they did not have permission to withdraw $200 for march and $200 for ***** so I wanted my money back. They said they could not. It seems so unbelievable illegal. Please help me!
