    I am an elecctrical contractor. I purchased an automatic window opener from discounthomeautomation.com on June 12th and installed on the 28th of June for a customer. The item was defective and failed in days. A return was initiated on July 12th. the item was sent back to discount home automation then out to the manufacturer to see if it was defective, it was deemed defective and now there is no communication from the company. I have had 34 email interactions and many "chat" discussions on the status of the return and can not get a answer on what is now happening. The company does not have a telephone number for communication. I just want a replacement or a reimbursement .

    On 2/14/24 the customer was refunded the full product cost amount for the items returned for warranty credit. 


    The reason for the delay is that warranties are provided and paid for by the manufacturer. The product purchased was returned to the European manufacturer to inspect, which caused the delay as they must first give permission for us to honor the warranty.  This authorization was provided to us on 2/9/24 so we could process the customer credit. Upon review, our records show that DHA responded to all communication by email and chat, and we apologize that the customer felt that was not the case.


    We believe that the customers desired results have been satisfied with the full refund, which is very important to us as a company.

    Order was placed on 6/11. and a pending charge was made to my Credit Card. Then on 6/12 received notice there was a delay 5-7 day for shipping on Order Number: SO-*******. the authorization with CC company expired and was canceled.Now 19 days later they again charged my card and claimed shipped. They even created a new order (see order numbers) on 6/20.They claim Item shipped on 6/20 however **** still has not received the item. Pre-Shipment **** Awaiting Item, Shipping Label Created *****, ** ***** June 20, 2023, 9:59 pm Additionally they should not of had my CC number on file. Sale was made online. Also the phone number that shows on CC company's transaction only refered you to their website anr Chat

    Discount Home Automation has received a customer complaint, number referenced above.  We communicated with our customer and he is now happy.  I have been advised to send this information to you so we can close out this complaint.

    I called the customer on 6/22/23 in the afternoon. I listened to his concerns, apologized for any miscommunication and offered a purchase discount.  He received his order the same day and he wanted to keep it and no longer wished for a refund.  He said that he was now happy and that he would let BBB know that we took care of him when you reach out, and that the matter is resolved.
