February 13th 2024 I had Christian from Do It Right Plumbers make a call to my house to check my plumbing. He found a substantial leak under my house. He instructed me that it would be best to replace all my plumbing since I was planning on renting out my house. I said I couldn't afford that, and he said that insurance would cover it, and if I took out a loan for the work, that he would have "good guys" come out and ensure insurance covered my plumbing. He sat on the couch as I applied for the loan. I was initially rejected, and he instructed me to call a family member to co-sign the loan. I called my mom, and explained that insurance would pay us back, so she agreed. The loan was for $12,802.16. ********* had also said that the restoration team would be done in a few weeks, so I could still rent out my house and wouldn't have my house stand empty. Back in late March I found out the truth, that insurance would not cover my plumbing, and that ********* lied to me. Once I found out that he would not get the plumbing covered, I tried calling Do It Right Plumbers five times, and ********* never called me back. Not only that, but the company he suggested I hire took months to do mitigation on water damage. My house is still empty as of 8/26/24. I have paid six months of mortgage on a house that has been unlivable due to the restoration company tearing out my kitchen. I wrote a negative review late July and Do It Right called me to clear it up, but they have since stopped responding to my messages, and kept saying "they'd talk to Christian" however, that went on for a month before they stopped responding all together. I would like an apology, and my loan either resolved with no further payment, or reduced by 60%.Business Response

********** had a leak, which we fixed. She says: "in late March she was informed that insurance would not cover her claim and that ********* lied to her". Unfortunately, it is not up to us to approve or disapprove insurance claims. She says that ********* lied to her because he referred a restoration company that is not helping her claim go through. Again, the insurance company and restoration company have nothing to do with us. ********* NEVER said that the insurance claim would go through, as we have no control over that. Additionally, she says the restoration company is taking forever to do the work. That is entirely on the restoration company and has nothing to do with DIRP or the work that we did. The work that DIRP did was quality and effective - it fixed her leak, used all plumbing grade equipment and expertise. Again, since ********* REFERRED her to the restoration company, she thinks that we are somehow linked to them - we are not. Or that their work is a reflection upon us - it is not. Also, we continue to reach out to ****, but she just wants us to give her her money back since she is in a negative financial situation. We cannot give her money back just because she cannot afford it and because she was banking on getting insurance to cover her claim. Again, we fixed the leak, did quality work and the team deserves to get compensated per the contract for the work, materials and labor. Lastly, and this is touchy - but **** had asked ********* to doctor up some of the information on the invoice in efforts to get insurance to pay for the damage; ********* would not do that. **** also thought that she could get the restoration company to ultimately commit insurance fraud, and they would not do that. She is desperate, and while we are empathetic to her financial plight - we did nothing wrong here; she just is wanting to get her money back and put the blame on someone else.

The business is implying I asked things to be doctored, and I suggested any of this. The fact remains that ********* told me that he had no doubt that insurance would cover the plumbing and he would make sure he made it work, no matter what. I called multiple times, simply wanting to talk to ********* and he never called me back. He never even apologized for a misunderstanding which still wouldnt be accurate because regardless of what DIRP is saying, ********* was the one who convinced me to do all the work, to take out a loan, and PROMISED Id get my money back. I cant believe that I cant even get an apology, and IM being blamed when I would never gone through any of this excessive work if it wasnt for Christian. They saying I had a leak, which is true. So why didnt ********* recommend only fixing the leak, but instead replaced ALL my pipes? There was never a discussion of only fixing the leak. It was always trust me, its safer to replace all the pipes, and insurance will cover it. Ive gotten it covered a bunch of times but insurance told me they never never cover plumbing. DIRP blaming me, and not apologizing? Im so dissatisfied.Business Response

****- we are so so sorry. This is a horrible experience that you must be going through- and we are saddened that you are so upset.
We would like to come to some agreement, but not sure what you are requesting as we performed work that was needed on your home.
Have you thought about going to the restoration company to ask for money back or not to pay? As it seems they are the ones that were not able to work with the insurance company to get the claim approved and that their work was not up to par and it took so much longer than expected.
Again, we are so sorry that this is causing you stress; stress is not good and we want to alleviate that for you. We can have Christian call you and apologize if that will help too.
Please advise on how we can help as we care about you and your well-being.
Thank you

All the work the restoration company did WAS covered by insurance. Even though they were a nightmare to work with, they are not the problem. The work that was not covered (even though Christian promised otherwise) was the plumbing. And yes, I have asked for ********* to call me about a dozen times at this point. So it goes without saying that I would like him to call me. I am paying my Green Sky loan monthly. If you are unwilling to reduce the amount, even a small percentage, it is what it is. However, I would have loved to update my negative reviews, and resolved this issue through BBB to say you have been willing to work with me, instead of victim blaming as it has been so far.

I had my tenant hire a plumber of their choosing for a clogged kitchen sink. Going into this, we already knew there was likely an issue with the mainline and that we would need an HOA plumber to take care of it, so we just wanted to unclog enough to get the pipes going again.I believe this company took advantage of the situation and invoiced for more work than was actually completed and with predatorial pricing. We expected the sink to be snaked, which was done well enough, but all the other things, as far as the tenant is aware, none of it was done.Initial Complaint

4/9/2024 Tried finding someone to help reconnect my gas stove. Got 2 calls and then talked to someone named *******. She provided no help and then called back again. Don't appreciate the solicitation when your company refuses to help. They also knew how to fix with a Handyman and refused to help refer one after calling me again like a piece of trash. I just want to file this complaint because I was treated as a piece of trash and offered no help to solve a simple problem. Got 3 phone calls to me harassing me now instead of helping. Nasty. Sincerely,******Business Response

The files are too large to update per my earlier message of having recordings of both the initial call with ******** and also the subsequent voicemail left by the customer. I am trying to zip..
