Initially, I reached out to The Website Design company for assistance in building a website. We agreed to start with the website before moving on to develop an app. My initial conversations were with ******** and *******************. ******** was responsible for selling me various service packages, (and subsequently found out that they over charge me!)starting with the website with an agreed upon price of $1300. As soon as the website payments concluded, they began promoting their mobile application services as well as other integrations and add-ons at an additional cost. The initial costs they presented included server and content fees. Later, they informed me that I also needed an API for processing payments, and two months into the project, in July, they added an additional charge (2000$ over charge)for the database, a detail they had not mentioned before. Regarding the website, they continuously introduced new charges for features and services that were not initially disclosed. Website Designs also continued to avoid calls, miss deadlines and provide shoddy work as well as continuous changes in the team. This approach frustrated me greatly because I had made it clear from the outset that I expected full transparency about the costs involved. They failed to provide a comprehensive payment plan for the project, as well as an overall project timeline with clear deadlines. They often presented these charges at the last minute, and said it was urgent these additional payments be made immediately which caught me by surprise every time. They did not inform me about several essential costs, such as domain and hosting, content fees, TLS certification, and payment merchant fees. Initially, I was under the impression that the website would cost $1300 based on a promotional package they offered, but they gradually extracted more money by introducing unforeseen charges without a clear upfront plan. About a month after starting the website, we began working on the mobile app. ******** outlined the costs for the server ($5200) and content ($3200) related to the app. After these payments were made, I was introduced to ****, who was then in charge of the app development and provided the first set of instructions, including a timeline for when I could expect to see the first version of the website. Later it was discovered that ******************* was not a true project manager but was only expected to communicate with the client, with no clear project management direction.based on the projection completion date provided by Website Design, I started to recruit and interview therapists as providers for The Heal Way. Its now more than 6 months later and I have nothing to show. Also the fact the company is based offshore in ***** and ******** its made legal pursuit in the US impossible. There is no further recourse. I have invested $20+, expected deliver in August, lost therapy providers due to delays and I now have nothing to show for this investment and timeInitial Complaint

I hired a Website Design Engine for building a customized website for my business. They are lying every day and they are giving us the run round. They are unable to deliver the project and they refused to give me money back. Also on their website 100% money back guaranteed.I have emails, text messages and voice recording where they said if project is not completed on time, we will have our 100% money back, and including the website they are building and all the credentials. I called everyday more than ****s times, they don't answer. If they do answer my calls, they just make excuses, he is sick, he is not here, some family emergency, took a vacation, called off, busy, in the meeting and they left for the day. It's been 11 months and It's too much stress, me and my wife are depressed and having sleeping problems.I lost every holiday sales of the year, I'm paying installment for my machines out of my pockets. I have not made a ***** yet, I cannot open a location, I can't do marketing because they are not delivering the project or my money back. They changed our project managers about 10 times, first ****, *****, ****, ********, *****, *****, *******************, *********************, ***, ***, ******, *****, ************************, ****, ****, *********************** ****** and ********************* again.Whenever I call and ask to speak with the manager, they make excuses even we setup the time for call and zoom meetings. Even the managers are lying and make false promises and they never answer or call back.Today November 01-03-2024 we spoke with *************************, he said he need to speak with *********************** and then he said we cannot get our money back. They said If you want to file a complaint or trying to *** us you would never win beacuse you are not the only one who ***d us. Nobody won. Please help us.They promise us website will be completed within 3 months and we bought machines and the entire inventory. It's been 11 months we lost our money, sales, business location and our sleep.Initial Complaint

I found website design engine June 15, 2022 for an e-commerce website. I spoke with a lady, to explain what I needed for my business. I initially paid 857 for the website. I then was placed with someone named ******** to initiate the website design and content. We got the photos together, item numbers, and prices of the products. Once we sent them to the company, the website had many issues, many spelling issues, etc. They then called me and said to make the website work, I needed to pay 500 for hosting. Then they called and said I needed to pay another 500 for integration and shipping. Another 300 for another design and SEO, and then 700 for social media page. Till this day, I dont have my website and its not functional. The company is a scam and has scammed many other people. They upsell and dont deliver at all.Initial Complaint

On January 19, I paid Website Design Engine $1,800 to create a shopify site with event management for me. Their basic package was $1,200 and they charged an extra $400 for the event management. We also agreed to February 15th as the due date. I have to laboriously explain what I wanted, and could have easily did the website myself instead. They did not complete half of what I asked for, or half of what they promised. The website was incredibly late (not delivered until March 8th or so) and they were pushing for my username and password. I of course did not feel comfortable with this and they acted like I was silly to be worried. I gave them collaborator permissions, but never my login info. When I started making threats about wanting my money back, they delivered a shoddy website which I wouldn't trust. They also have a 100% money-back guarantee which they will not stand by, and say it's only good for 48 hours. I believe they embedded nefarious code into it and I deleted the site. They are now threatening to *** me. This is my first complaint of an online business. I am not one to complain and am easy to please. I have documentation, but am not willing to share it with the web as it includes sensitive information.Initial Complaint

I started working with this company to build my website and spent about $15,000, they have not delivered all the services I've paid for and are withholding my credentials from me to manage my website. I am unable to work with another company since they are withholding everything I paid for from me.
