Pods Moving and Storage in ******** ** packed up my stuff 3yrs ago in Gilbert ** and put in storage in ******** **. I told them I was moving to zip code 86005/86001 which is Flagstaff ** which is in same state and only ******* miles away. I did not have a full address of where delivery would be because I didnt have a place to live yet. I lost my home and job because of 2020. So its been 3yrs of just sleeping on couches and now I want my stuff. I have called to get my stuff delivered to ********* ** now to another cheaper storage facility up in ********* ** so I can go thru my stuff in cooler weather as ******** is 115 degrees all summer. Ive been trying to get my stuff delivered. At first PODS told me they cant deliver cause seasonal. So Ive waited til April. Then they told me they can deliver but it will cost me a total of $2,700 for EACH storage container to be delivered. I have 2. So that would be Grand Total of $5,400.00 for going ******* miles which is highway robbery! I cant afford that and as a 63 yr old woman I cannot go down to 115 degrees in ******** and go thru my stuff and try to get it all delivered myself. I feel they are holding my things for randsom. Please please help. Ive been fighting with PODS since April 2024 and its July 2024 now. Im old and just need a reasonable price to get my stuff delivered instate at only ******* miles away! I am alone and do not have anyone to help me. Ive been paying them for 3 yrs faithfully and on time. All I want is my stuff delivered for a REASONABLE price for delivery 2 containers ******* miles only. I was expecting $500-$1000 for BOTH containers not $5400 for both to be delivered. If I would have known that I would have gone with another moving/storage company! Ive already paid them for packing and pickup which was about $500 I think and been paying approx $450/mos for 3 1/2 yrs for an approx total of $16,200.00.Initial Complaint

I am making a long distance move. I ordered (1) 16' container from PODS and 3 Relocubes from U~PACK. I sold my house and have moved out. ***** delivered as promised and smoothly picked up the items as in the contract. I called them for pickup at 4:30 PM on Thursday and they arrived promptly on Friday around noon, picking up all 3 containers. NO issue.... PODS, however....My realtor is now being contacted continuously by the homebuyer who is LIVID because the 16' PODS container is still sitting in the front yard. It was scheduled to be picked up on Friday ~ it is now Monday. Upon reviewing my banking statements, it certainly was quickly billed to my account on Thursday for almost $3000 which was due UPON PICKUP. I have called numerous times, sat on hold for over an hour ~ I called again and chose the "call me back" option twice. Both times I finally did get a callback, I was told to hold on while they "check on things," only to be hung up on each time. I wonder how long it will remain in the yard and continue to upset the homebuyer? I called the bank to dispute the charge. It may be my only recourse to try and light a fire under them to pick up their PODS container. Not even sure how the rest of the transaction will go. ????I can tell you, though, I definitely DO NOT recommend them and would NEVER use this poor excuse for a moving company again.Date of experience: June 15, 2023 Billed $656.60 on 6/6/23 agreed upon delivery ~ container was delivered on 6/7/23 Billed $2926 on 6/9;23 agreed UPON PICKUP ~ this container is still at my previous address and the homebuyers are LIVID Since the container is packed, my only solution would be to have it picked up ~ I am sorry I used this company and do not expect a good outcome even after it is finally picked up. Thank you for anything you can do. I guess it is my fault for not checking reviews prior to booking this move. Have a nice day.Initial Complaint

We want our household goods and spent extra money on essentials because PODs is not delivering our container. Making a move from ******* to ********, **********, we loaded a PODs container in May 2022 and scheduled delivery on June 21st 2022. We scheduled well in advance and had confirmation that it would be delivered online. Tracking showed it was moved from ** to WA, but on day of delivery there was not container. We called PODs and they said it should be coming, but later called us back to say that there was a mistake and our container never left their warehouse in ******** *******. It was listed on the truck invoice, which was why the website showed it in **********. We were told an advocate would get back to us and received an email that stated they were looking into the problem. We have been 3 weeks without household goods. We had to buy beds and other essentials while trying to transition to a new location, new jobs and a new school for our son. We would like our property back. We are told that it may be delivered soon (website says 7/12) but we've been told that we'd have our stuff before and are still without. Primary we want our property, and we would also appreciate reimbursement for expenses that we accrued as a result of their oversight. We have lost confidence in PODs and have not heard from their advocate in 2 weeks now.Initial Complaint

We originally obtained our *** in ******* to store some furniture while we sold our house. We were told at the time to "just call" when we got to ******* to have the *** delivered, as if there would be no problem. Once we moved to ******* in early June, we got online to schedule delivery and realized it would be a four week wait to get out ***. We went ahead and scheduled the delivery for July 8 with a pick up date of July 11.We later contacted ***S again to see about possibly bumping up the date. The agent submitted a request to have the *** delivered on July 1, which was accepted. However, the agent did not mention that the *** would still not be picked up until July 11 and we mistakenly assumed that moving up the pick up date to July 1 would mean that the *** would be then picked up the following Monday, like we had originally scheduled. When we realized the pick up date had not been changed, we began contacting ***S to have it changed as well. Multiple requests were submitted, but not accepted due to their high volume of moves. Our biggest issue at this point is that the *** is empty and sitting in our driveway and now ***S is going to charge us for another month of storage on July 7th....all because they're too busy to get the ***. While we would prefer to have the *** removed as soon as possible, if it has to remain in the driveway until July 11th due to their overcrowded schedule, then they should at least refrain from charging us for another month of storage that we do not need or want.Initial Complaint

I ordered a pod on 3/28 for delivery on 5/16. We were charged by Pods for the full value prior to delivery on 5/16. I contacted Pods on 5/15 to verify delivery on 5/16 in addition to determine when the Pod would be delivered, in the interest of assisting the driver in establishing a good location for the *** drop off. It was implied by the ***s representative that the storage unit would arrive on the agreed date and to expect it that following day. On the morning of 5/16 we contacted ***S to determine where the unit was and when to expect it. There was no written notice, phone message, or any communication from ***S that the unit would not arrive on 5/16. I called ***S and was then informed that the unit would not be arriving and there was no potential for delivery until June 8. I asked the ***s representative if the unit could be delivered from an alternative storage location and was informed that this was impossible and there was no option of pursuing an alternative delivery. I asked if there was someone else I could discuss the issue with, in the interest of achieving resolution as ***s had a contractual obligation to deliver the unit on the designated date, and was informed this was also impossible and there was no one who could assist further. Due to this, I was forced to rent a uhaul for moving, pay for a tow dolly to tow my car, purchase additional hotel rooms for travel, and pay significantly more for gas than originally anticipated. This placed a significant financial burden on me as I am a medical student traveling cross country to move for residency, and now have had to bear the financial burden of the original *** purchase in addition to a 15 foot UHAUL rental and tow dolly. In addition the mental stress and overall disarray of this situation has placed an additional mental toll on my wellbeing and has led to significant anxiety, discomfort, and fatigue directly attributable to ***s inability to accommodate their contractual obligation with me.
