    I purchased a vehicle from spectrum collision last year for my 82 year old mom, and did business exclusively with *********************. The day I was to pick it up, I was then told that the car would need more work done. Even before I drove it off the lot, ***** said it needed new tires (I was not told this prior to picking the car up), which we had to purchase from him in order to drive it off the lot. We were also were told it would need struts eventually. We actually had to get new struts two days after I brought the car to my mom. Again, this information was NEVER told to us UNTIL I went to pick it up after the sale. When my mom got the car, it had to stay in the shop for the first three weeks before she could drive it. My husband and I feel ***** and his assistants misrepresented the actual issues that the car had, and we eventually were able to get them to finish the work on the car at no charge to us that was agreed upon at the time of the sale. We were never told the extent of the work that this car needed BEFORE it was sold to us. My mom was on a very tight budget (SS only), and she should not have had to pay over $1,000 more on the car. We were not given a choice to decide whether we wanted to proceed with the purchase of the car due to the lack of honesty on ****** part at the beginning of the sale process. This ordeal has had a very negative impact on the long-term relationship that weve had with spectrum (at least 15 years), and sadly, we will no longer be doing business with them.
