I hired Quality Concrete, ***************************, to replace my driveway for $18,375.00. Work started on 9/14/21 and completed on 9/24/21. The very next day, the concrete starting cracking. I understand that some light cracking is normal however, I consider the cracks in my driveway excessive. Over the next few months, the cracking became worse and then I started having chunks of concrete popping out. ***** continually stated to me that he would "make it right", and that the concrete supplier (SRM) gave bad batches of concrete. He then sent me a "recipe card" from SRM showing the mixture of the concrete that he ordered. I told him that meant nothing to me since I'm not a chemist nor do I know what the mixtures should be. Additionally, it is not my responsibility to chase after the concrete supplier that he chose to go with. According to the contract, it states, " and not to use any substandard or rejected materials". ***** yelled and screamed at the concrete drivers during the pour because they were "not in the right order" to deliver the concrete. I have emails and text messages between ***** and I where he admitted to the product being substandard and then he just stopped replying. I continually called, left VMs, emails, and text msgs to get him to come back to my home and look at the cracks, to which he did not reply. Finally, he had his mother, ***********************, call me (he mentioned in our first meeting that she was his office manager) and she stated that ***** saw the pictures and was not going to come back to look at my driveway. She also said that SRM has been giving other contractors "bad batches" of concrete as well, which goes back to the "known substandard or rejected materials" quote in the contract. The reason this has taken 13 months now is due to the length of time trying to give him every chance to keep his word and the length of time where I was not getting responses. I have a demanding job that takes a lot of my time as well. I can send more info upon reques

This complaint has been noted. It has been filed with my insurance company. I am also suing SRM for their substandard product and poor delivery. They give me assurances that their concrete is standard. It upsets me greatly to have our hard work destroyed by their bad product. It is our job to shape, place, and finish the concrete. I do not create the concrete mix. The failure was caused by SRM's mix. I have not had this problem with any other concrete company.  I have used them several times and after this disappointment in their product, I have chosen to never use them again.

**************** was a nice customer and I enjoyed doing his job. I am crushed that this has happened. I have spent time researching how to fix the concrete to no avail. This goes beyond simple resurfacing. I will keep him posted on the insurance claim.

ONCE AGAIN, MY COMPANY CAME OUT AND TRIED TO MAKE HIM HAPPY AGAIN BY CUTTING DECORTIVE DESIGNS INCLUDING DIAMONDS AND BOARDERS WHICH COST MY COMPANY OVER $2000. IN LABOR AND MATERIALS. ONCE AGAIN **************** SAID HE WAS HAPPY WITH HIS DRIVEWAY.
