July 2022, I met with Marc at my location to discuss repairs to my outdoor workshop. He was recommended by the parents of a coworker of mine. We agreed on a price of $5000 for the completed job both inside and out. On 16 August he arrived at 7:45 AM to begin on the inside repair. The details were reviewed and agreed upon. This included. 1. Tack up falling insulating panels 2. Open north facing air vent that was blocked by previous owner 3. Add horizontal ceiling with access opening to top inside of shed. 4. Add plywood behind peg boards. 5. Trim out door. Goal was to make shed less open to insects/ pests because I needed space to store family items now that my mother is moving to assisted living. Paid requested $1500 for materials and labor before leaving for work. Reportedly all day job. Mark left at noon per security cameras. Items 1,2, 4 and 5 not completed. Used underpayment for ceiling with no access point. Attached with nails not screws. Multiple empty nail holes in wood. Sagging and light showing. Did not respond to request for explanation. Now have to pay to have someone take down ceiling and replace with acceptable material. If he has serious problems that prompted him to cheat a 67 year old single woman who works in adoption/counseling, I hope he resolves them soon. Meantime, I want my money back.
