Do not use this company! **** the Supervisor and his crew STOLE our mattresses after we had already paid our bill. After sending out two new,not very experienced movers our move took 8 hrs and all of our things could not fit on the truck.. so we had to stuff our cars. When the move is done **** aggressively confronts me asking for $118 for overtime which had nothing to do with the move but my garage door they had broken as they had opened it manually because they couldnt find the button literally right next to the door. This has caused so much stress on my family, I will NEVER use this company again. This guy needs to be fired hes very rude and obnoxious. Weve filed a police report and will be going to civil court next. They made me sign saying the had unloaded which I expressed I did not feel comfortable and this is exactly why! Very weird behavior. They dont have any other contact reach out to customers for complaints but the one rude person ****. This is ridiculous and you all have a lawsuit on your hands stealing from people with no communication.Business Response

On Thursday, August 31st, 2023 we moved Miss ******************. The two men sent to conduct her move are five-star performers by all accounts. They are well trained and regularly receive praise from customers, including the customer they serviced earlier the same day. Upon arrival, the men reported that the move was much larger than described by *************** at the time of booking. Due to time constraints, **** went to work with these men at no additional cost to ***************. We charge $45 per hour for a third man and **** worked with this crew for approximately 5 hours saving *************** $225. After conducting several walk throughs with *************** at the load location it was determined by her that the men loaded all the property she wished to be loaded. This is acknowledged by her initial on the moving ticket.
As stated in the confirmation letter, that *************** agreed to per her initials, the final cost of your move is determined by the ACTUAL TIME your move takes, plus the drive time. Upon arrival at the unload the movers collected payment that was based on their estimated time of completion.Towards the end of the move the movers presented *************** with the remaining balance which amounted to $118.50 and she refused to pay. To reference the confirmation letter, payment is due prior to completion of the move. Since *************** refused to pay the remainder of her bill the service could not be completed. *************** failure to pay resulted in a possessory lien being placed on two mattresses that are held as collateral until payment is received.
*************** claims the movers broke her garage door by opening it manually. This claim is patently false, the movers simply opened the garage door to allow for better access to the lower part of the home. Before departing, the full functionality of the garage door was confirmed by the movers and ***************.
On Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 **** and one of the other men present for *************** move went to deliver her mattresses. The property was to be released from the possessory lien under the condition that *************** sign the agreement the men presented to her. The agreement states that in lieu of paying the outstanding balance *************** will simply have to remove her dishonest review thereby ending the unwanted relationship. Although *************** agreed to these terms over the phone, she refused to accept the conditions when the men arrived. This led to wasted labor, fuel, and, most importantly, time that could have been used helping customers that recognize the value of our service.
In conclusion, *************** failure to pay for services rendered is what led to the possessory lien being placed. Attacks on the character and competence of our employees are untrue and outlandish attempts to justify her theft of service. We do good, honest work and have zero interest in keeping the property of our customers, but we must insist on getting paid for the work that we do.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:What I paid was 4 hours ahead of time they said they were do. They completed the move before the time that was put on the receipt. I asked the mover just one to fix my garage before they left as they decided to open it manually. The two other movers stood around and watched him when they could have brought the mattresses in. This company has very predatory practices. ***** comes in our home and requests $180 extra dollars to which I said I would not be paying because the only reason they were over time was because of the garage the broke. These mover went outside and drove off with our mattresses and never said a word that they were leaving with our things, very unprofessional! When we tried calling and texting they had blocked us. The only reason I received a response from them was because if my ****** review, to which they tried to bring me a contract full of lies to shut me up after they had stolen our things. When I inquired about the letter asking that it be edited to state we owe nothing and our things would be delivered, I was given blank stares. The two men stood at my door with the truck closed waiting on me to sign which I refused because I had a horrible experience with them previously. We dont plan on doing business with this company and will continue to fight until they return our things or give us our funds for what they stole. They owners never reached out which shows a lot about this companies professionalism.
Sincerely,
******************Business Response

At the time of booking ****************** move **** explained our local moving rates the same way it is explained to every customer who calls to schedule a local move. We charge $158 per hour Monday through Friday; the rate is $178 per hour on Saturday. The time begins when the movers leave our office and stops when they return to our office. There is a 2-hour minimum, after the 2 hours we bill in 15-minute increments and payment is due prior to completion of the move. This rate includes two movers and one truck. This is made incredibly simple so that customers can easily understand our local moving rates. To avoid unwanted confusion, this is reiterated in the confirmation letter sent to every customer in an email that encourages customers to notify us if they have any questions or changes to their move. *************** accepted the terms of the confirmation letter and this acknowledged by her initial on the moving ticket. We have GPS tracking on all the trucks we use to conduct moves and have confirmed the accuracy of Miss *******************. We help thousands of customers every year and seldom encounter this issue. Only a dishonest person attempting to receive free service would feign confusion about such a simple matter.
After completing a final walkthrough with ***************, the remaining charges were presented, and she failed to provide payment. *************** claimed that she did not have the funds to cover the rest of her bill. **** reminded *************** that payment is due prior to completion of the move. *************** responded by saying that she would be willing to make payments for the remainder of her bill, acknowledging that there is a balance due. **** told her that she could make payments, but the move cannot be completed until payment is received in full. At this point, *************** realized that she would not be getting the rest of her move done for free. *************** and her mother began talking over **** and claiming they have paid in full as a last-ditch effort to receive even more free service than was already given by sending a third man at no additional cost.
*************** claims the movers broke her garage door and two of the movers stood around while one fixed it. We cannot be held responsible for *************** failure to understand the mechanical function of her own property. The movers opened the garage door manually to allow for easier access to the lower part of the home. **** briefly put the door back on track so that it could once again be opened and closed remotely. The other two movers were dismissed after confirming that **** would not need assistance in doing this. These men went right back to work.
Since *************** failed to pay for services rendered, a possessory lien has been placed on her mattresses. Less than 2 days after *************** move, we contacted her to propose an agreement that would end the unwanted relationship. The agreement states that in lieu of paying the outstanding balance, *************** will have to remove her dishonest review to regain possession of her mattresses. She accepted these terms over the phone,so the men went to deliver her mattresses. Upon arrival, they prompted *************** to see the mattress are in fact on the back of the truck. **** then presented *************** with the agreement and she refused to sign it.
In conclusion, *************** unfounded belief that she is due free service has resulted in a waste of time and resources. To end this unproductive discourse, we are willing to offer the same agreement as before. This will guarantee *************** free deliver of her mattresses so long as she removes her misleading reviews. We are not interested in keeping *************** property, but we will not forgoe being paid in full and still be left with dishonest damage to our reputation.
