We were so happy with the estimate and attention changing spaces gave ** at the beginning of organizing our move. The 4 movers we had were kind, efficient and polite. We had a great moving experience until we turned on our tv and it wouldnt come on. We tried different outlets, different ways to reset it but it wouldnt come on. The movers called their manger and were advised to take down the make and model number instead of taking the tv with them. One week went by and I had not heard a thing. I emailed *************** and she stated she had not heard anything from the movers but would follow up and sent our request to the damages department. I even had to give the make and model number again. ****** in damages finally called us back and advised that we call **** to see if there was a defect and file a warranty claim. We felt this was dishonest to do since the tv worked perfectly fine before the move. Two weeks later we are the ones following back up and being told the same information. Actually one person ****** said he cant just write a ***** check to us. Well thats good because our tv cost more than that to replace. Pretty disappointed in the advisement, professionalism, honesty so far.

As a moving company we have a lot of responsibilities to handle when moving someones entire house. We have learned over time that we need to minimize our risk by informing customers of fragile items that arent packed/boxed correctly for transport are moved at their risk. We require all customers to sign a release of liability if the request us to move such items. In this case we have on our release states; (Electronics - CSMI is not responsible for damage associated to unboxed electronics, dismounting **s (CSMI will assist), disconnected electronics (e.g., **, DVD, stereo equipment, etc.) CSMI accepts no liability for electronics that have no physical damage caused by CSMI.) ****** we moved was unboxed and didnt fall or get banged up, there is no physical damage to the *** We carried it, properly placed and secured the ** for transport. When the ** was delivered to its final destination there was no physically identifiable damage. I had a conversation with the customer and although they signed the agreement to release us of liability for performing a risky request, I still offered a generous compensation. If we dropped the ** or in any way physically damaged the ** we would do more.

I am rejecting this response because:

Youve said the same inappropriate response twice. You lied and recommended we fraudulently file a warranty claim with ***** You know the tv was working perfectly fine as the origina documents statement and then it didnt work after moving 1.5 miles per the final inspection documents too. Youre responding this way because its a $2,2000 television and our move was that amount (including the generous tips we gave the movers). Weve disputed the charges with our cc company appropriately.

      Sincerely,

      ***** *********************
