Two slider windows (CS style) were installed by Clera at our home in November 2019 for a total cost of $2,050. They were not opened over the winter until April 2020, at which time we could not lock them, but no service person could come because of the Covid lockdown. In June the serviceman cut some metal and rubber from the frames. Over the winter of 2021-22 we still could not lock the windows, and they frosted up. We did once again call the Clera representative in March 2022, and when he demonstrated them to us, it took his two strong arms forcing the panes apart for him to lock them. Despite this, they frosted up again. This would not be satisfactory even if were were young, but we are in our 70's. There appears to be either a problem of design for this kind of window or they were installed incorrectly. We wrote twice to Clera through their website, once on June 3/22 complaining about the unsatisfactory Clera service people, and again on July 22/22, but have had no response to our direct complaints to them.

I am replying to the complaint of

They sent you a complaint about their windows.  My installer had returned to service a couple of years ago I believe and said all was good. Aprox six months later I get a call saying she can't lock them. I returned and showed her how to operate. Maybe a year after that I returned again on her request.  I again showed her that she had to slight push against the sash to slightly compress weather strip and lock.
Nobody needs two arms to do anything.
I had called her a week ago and stated that I would return once again to look at her windows and go over them thoroughly.
She said that she thought there was a flaw in our design and she wanted them replaced with a new type.  I told Mrs ***** that was not a option.  That I would return and fix the problem if there was one.
Mrs ***** said she would talk with her husband first. Not to waste my time coming out until she called me back ...
    She hasn't called back
