To anyone thinking of ordering a Bunkie Kit please be advised that their logistics department, which is the actual delivering of the product to your property is ineffective and unprofessional. Further, if you place an order the salesperson will tell you that they can deliver anywhere. When we ordered the kit we told Chris that we had a somewhat challenging gravel road up a hill and then a 45 degree angle on the driveway. He assured us it would not be a problem. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when the kit arrived from Ontario to Seattle. We were told to contact the trucking company that would make the delivery to our property. When we called we learned that the company would not accept the job and were told that ******* ********** would have to find a different vendor for delivery. We called ******* and were told first by *****, and then *****, that we had to be reasonable and allow them time to find a truck that could deliver the kit. We waited for almost 2 weeks with very little communication other than "we're working on it." Today, without notice the logistics department sent an email letting us know that the kit would be delivered TODAY. We were 2 1/2 hours from the property when my husband got the email. Apparently they don't believe this information warranted a phone call to ensure that someone would be available to accept delivery. My husband drove out immediately to the property, with delivery time set for 4:30pm. At 7:00pm the truck had not arrived. My husband called and learned that the truck had left late after having to hand load the kit onto their truck in Seattle. By this time my husband had been waiting for almost 4 hours. When the truck finally arrived the driver looked at our road/driveway and said delivery was impossible. ***** ******.....this is a road traveled by cars without 4 wheel drive. Do not order from this company unless you have easy access to the build site...oh and a forklift....they expect that you will have that at your disposal.
