      I hired The Deck Guy to complete a deck for me last year. They started the job and it is almost done, however I paid them for the decking material and have not delivered the decking material. I have not had any contact with the owner in almost one year. I have been dealing with his office manager. I paid them for decking material last year and they have yet to have it delivered to me. It’s over 12k. Up until last week the office manager kept saying she was trying to arrange delivery and now is not returning my phone calls, text, or emails. I managed to track down the company they material are to be ordered from and they have confirmed the material have not been ordered and they are waiting to hear from The Deck Guys. At this point I need my deck to be completed or for me to just get the materials I ordered. Any assistance with this would be appreciated. Thanks

      We contacted The Deck Guys May 2022 and received a quote for a screened-in porch May 10th. We paid a deposit of $3475 on May 16th and work was estimated to be started in August 2022 (depending on when permits were approved). We hadn't heard anything from the company after paying the deposit until I emailed them June 27th asking for an update. I was told they were working on the permit drawings and that I should have them in about a week. I gave them 3 weeks and emailed them July 27th. After receiving no reply we called several times after that asking for an update and was told Sean would call me back, but never did. We emailed again Sep 27th asking for a firm timeline or our deposit returned as the permit drawings haven't even been started by this point. We were told they were hoping to be able to tell us a timeline in a "couple of weeks". Jan 4th we still had no reply so we emailed again, followed by emails Feb 1st and Feb 11th asking for our deposit back (no replies). We're almost approaching a year of zero work being done and ignoring our requests to return our deposit so that we may find a contractor to complete the job. We are unsure of the next steps to take and was hoping you would be able to assist.

      * ** * **** ****** I signed a contract with Drak Enterprises on March 3rd 2021 to add a deck with railings to my backyard. After several delays, the deck was finally completed in the end of July 2021. I was told the railings would be installed by August 5th of 2021. Since that day, I have been given many false dates about the completion of the railings with no results. Over the summer of 2022, I have repeatedly contacted the company requesting the completion of my railings. They responded for a short period claiming they would be completed, but have not shown up to finish the work or deliver any of the material. I have requested in several emails since April of 2022 to provide proof the materials have even been ordered and they have failed to do so. They have now completely stopped answering my phone calls and emails. The total cost of the Job is $26500 as stated in the contract. I have paid $24000 of this total price. I have now waited for 14 months since I was first told the railings will be installed. I have given them every opportunity to fix this and they have chosen to ignore them all.
