******** date of transaction.$49.98 is the funds I am requesting for refund.Hushmail Communications Company provides a business email service provider.******** refuses to issue a refund because they claim 30 days from ******** to ******** is only time I could ask for a refund. I paid for an annual subscription from ******** to ********. The reason for cancellation and a refund on ******** because the email service changed my subscription plan and the features that I was used to using from the year of 2011 - 2024 to a higher tier paid subscription plan. The 30 days of the billing receipt date to request a refund for a Digital Annual Subscription Plan is Unfair and Unjust. If I go to ********** and buy a physical product, I understand I have 30 days to request for a refund, exchange or a return. That make sense to me logically. A Digital Monthly or Annual Subscription Plan Cancellation and asking these Big Tech Digital Companies for a Refund always ends in nonsensical Terms of Service they rewrite every year to SCAM the American Consumer. I did business with Hushmail Communications Company out of *********, ** from 2011 to 2025. This Company Canadien puts Profits before service of fair use. I am asking ************************ to help with this Unfair and Unjust business practice. Thanks!

    Hello,

Sorry for the trouble you had canceling your account.

That said, some of the information in the complaint is incorrect.

First of all, we offer a 60-day refund policy. If someone did not want to renew, they have up to 60 days to request a refund. As mentioned in the reply to the customer, they had used the account for 3 months by the time they voluntarily requested their account be closed. Also, as indicated on the cancel account form, which can be found here *************************************, if a subscription is canceled by filling out the form, the account is closed right away.

The customer filled out the form and then was surprised their account was closed. At that point, we gave them the option to have it reactivated and they could have used it for the remainder of their paid subscription. They chose to not go that route.

Lastly, we did not force the customer to pay more for their account. We advised them that the price for the plan they were on was changing the following year and their renewal after their current subscription would be at a higher price than they paid for their current subscription. At that point it was their choice if they wanted to renew the next year or not.

    Thanks for your time,

I am rejecting this response because: since 2011 to 2024 I received a much better product from Hushmail Communications Company. Removing features to to a higher tier subscription plan is not something I was willing to do at the time. ******'s Gmail made greater strides for emailing communication for businesses.

I had not fully implemented a full data transfer to gmail until March 2025 cause business had gotten slow enough for me to do so. The fact that Hushmail Communication Company is not considerate peoples circumstances but, instead puts profits and greed before customer loyalty. Shows that legal actions is needed in a time great unrest with Digital Tech Companies just changing the Terms of Service as they see fit. 60 days to refund on an Annual Subscription plan is not reasonable.

    Sincerely,

    ***** *****
