An employee of Designer Interlock knocked on my door offering to seal the cement at our house on November 12th. His name was Mick and his cell number is 647-786-6485. He said their company was doing work in the area and would give us a discount to seal the cement on our driveway and patio. The quote was $3500 but he said they would do it for $2800. He said he would draw up a contract. At that point I had to go out and when I got back the work was in progress. They had moved the patio furniture and other items including a gas heater, a sofa, a large table, 12 chairs, a storage box, several hoses, and other equipment onto our lawn. They had completed the power washing and at that point told me the fee was now $4800. I transferred $3000 to [email protected]. When I got home they said they had finished the work and that I owed them $1800. Still no contract. They had damaged our door and a fence. I got a call from another person and felt very pressured to pay the remaining $1800 (they called several times). They said they would fix the damage. Unfortunately I paid the remaining and they promised to return the next day to move the items back and to check for deficiencies. Then they disappeared. I had to move everything back with the help of my Mom and Dad. I called the 'owner' ************ and he said he would fix everything. Nothing happened. I called several times and left messages, with no response. I have since checked the work and they have damaged our entire cement patio and driveway with the power washer. I have to now repair the damage they did and reseal everything. I have since been in touch with many neighbours who have the same experience with this company. I still have no contract or receipt. So this is now also CRA ***** in my opinion. I have messages on our Neighbourhood app from the other disgruntled neighbours.
