My truck was severely damaged by Mr. Lube requiring $2300 in repair. Date: 8-December-2023: The manager seemed hurried due to the necessity of training multiple employees at the same time (at least two, one performing data entry and service, and one in the pit). The manager shouted down to the pit worker that he would come help as he supported the data input with the first worker. Work, that seemed to include hammering and impact wrenches was ongoing.

After a time, the work was finished. The manager came to my window and informed me that transfer case drain plug could not be seated and could not seal perfectly. I was informed that there was a piece missing and it was unclear whether this piece (identified by a professional mechanic approximately 1 hour later as part of the transfer case thread flange for the drain bolt) was cracked or completely missing before work had begun. The manager informed me they placed sealant on it and said he would not charge me for the work. The manager added the following note to the invoice “ transfer case flange broken on arrival/transfer case drain plug broken”. Neither of these statements are true and the engineering analysis verifies with high certainty that the flange and bolt were damaged by the work conducted by Mr. Lube.

I paid the requested amount for the work and drove directly to Auto Check Automotive Ltd 1 km away. They were shocked by the damage and believe it is implausible that the damage was not done by Mr. Lube. The manager had understated the severity of the damage and the truck should not have been driven to them in that condition, and they clearly fractured the casting outlet. I followed up same day by phone call and talked to the manager. I was told the flange was missing (implausible) when I arrived, and when I mentioned the repair is estimated at $2200+ he stated that they are not paying that.
