I am submitting on behalf of myself and my fianc This business hosts Cannabis dinners across ************* In February a Toronto dinner was advertised at a cost of $225 per attendee for May 4th We paid for 4 attendees for a total of $900 with confirmation number from Tock: TOCK-T-97P1V6AZ The advertisement on LinkedIn simply mentioned the dinner being hosted with multiple courses ****** (the chef) required for the payment to be done via e-transfer and there was no mention of any cancelation or refund policy Once we paid he sent us a Tock (reservation system) notification with a standard no refund policy (effectively taking our money and now locking it)In the months to come we asked if there is any confirmation on the venue where it will be hosted however only a vague response of no change was given we confirmed that if the new dates would not work in the future a refund would be provided ****** agreed On May 3rd - just over 24 hours before the event he sent an email about how the dinner will no longer take place and it will be rescheduled to a date in August August does not work for us so we asked for a refund ****** said that he sent us the refund once and we should confirm if we got it - this was a lie as he never sent anything to our knowledge He also mentioned how he needs extra time to transfer funds from an American account and still no refund We then followed up with him for an entire month - Texts, Emails, Calls, Instagram DM, etc. all with no answer Final email was letting him know that without an answer I would submit a case to BBB and that was responded to with a threat and claim of knowing my home address He then also texted my fianc saying a refund will not be provided and he will not allow me to move my funds to a future event, effectively stealing the $900 from us. I would just like to have my $900 back for a service that was never provided.

We don't offer refunds. Plain and simple. Please check out terms and conditions when you purchased your tickets. Tickets are transferable to future events, but after all of this, you're no longer welcome at any Nomad event

I am rejecting this response because:

    1. When purchasing the tickets there was no mention of the fact that they would not be refundable. See initial booking + reach out 1-5 attachments
    2. Before the date was moved and once the date move was confirmed ****** mentioned that we would be getting a refund. See refund confirmation 1&2. And also said that they actually sent the transfer (see attachment) which without proof is an outright lie from the business.
    3. Saying that tickets are not refundable however they are transferable and then saying that I am not welcome to any future event is a contradiction. This effectively means this business has stolen my money as they have taken it from me and are not providing the service or a resolution

(All proof available in zip folder)
    Sincerely,
