JAG Contracting Corp (**** ******) was hired and given a $10k deposit for materials on Feb 14, 2022 to do an all inclusive start to finish build of an addition on our home. The original quote was for $35,133.00. We bought our own flooring and the price was reduced to $32,831.25. A further $10,831.72 was given to him on April 12, 2022 which would have covered all materials for the build. On June 23 he requested and was given a cheque of $7700 for a 60% labour completion. To date a total of $28,531.72 has been paid to JAG. When the electrician was doing the rough in JAG wouldn't cover the labor or material cost of the electrician even though it was understood we had a deal that was a turn key project. I had a bunch of electrical parts and wire and gave them to the electrician to use. We have paid the electrician a total of $2,289.79 for his services for completing the rough in which brings the total paid in part and services to $30,821.51. JAG never pulled building permits untill I requested to see the inspection sign off for the rough in building. Much of the work was done subpar and in many cases incorrectly. JAG did hire a siding contractor to repair the poor workmanship he did. The roof tie in is beyond poor and has refused to correct it many times. The subfloor installation was not done to the manufacturers installation specs. He built stairs that were not safe and when I came down the stairs they twisted and broke. Luckily no inury. The sprayfoam under the floor is only 0.5" thick giving roughly a R2 insulation rating which is not acceptable. He quit via email on Sunday September 4, 2022. Materials paid for by us that are missing include but not limited to finishing electrical parts, under carriage wrap, eavestrough, down spouts and interior door jambs. The spray foam to purchase to finish spray foam the floor and other materials missing are roughly $5894.70 plus labor and roof repairs etc.. Looking for a refund of $15,000. This project is 11 weeks over
