      Ive been a member for thirty plus years and have never had more problems than in the last year. The latest is my new card doesnt work. When I called my branch I was given different information than was on the letter I received. I called the help line and the first call got dropped. Second call didnt solve the problem so now after more than an hour on the phone Ive got to go to a branch to have my PIN reset on a card I didnt ask for. This is just the icing on the cake to a list of issues over the past year. Im finally done! Ill be looking for a new financial institution.

      I was a member of the Shell Employee's Credit Union (joined in ****) that was unfortunately merged with connectFirst Credit Union. It went from the absolute best financial institution (I have dealt with Several Name Banks both private and business) to and institution that gives me anxiety doing anything other than using the **** The transition from Shell CU to connectFirs CU was one of the most unprofessional and incompetent's transitions I have every been associated with and I have maneuvered through the purchase of bankrupt energy assets with unstable landowners/unstable vendors/unstable employees/unstable municipalities/unstable JV partners/almost violent 1st & 2nd Lien holder and everything in-between. I am not a snap reaction based person, the inept actions (disconnection of all autopay account items - property taxes for example, the city of ******* contacted me to let me know I hadn't been paying my monthly taxes - the investigation of this resulted in an CFCU employee telling me I should have screen shot all auto pays and taken care of it myself....) had me thinking, ok, you've been here a long time see if thing improve. THEY HAVE NOT!!! PRETTY MUCH LAST STRAW ITEM THERE WAS A HOLD PUT ON A BANK DRAFT DEPOST. I had to explain next step will be legal action to gain access to MY funds. We have already moved our investment portfolio away, daily banking is next. There should be a negative star selection ability.

      I had a car loan though Connect First Credit Union, I obtained it through ******************* when I had financed our autos, the loan was $****** per month over 72 months, not one payment was missed all were made on time (yes it was hard). The last payment was due Feb 16/23, which was a small balance left over approx. $166.00, Connect First sent me confirmation of this Jan1/23, telling me my balance was $991.85 after my Jan 16/23 payment (******) the balance was $167.15, in addition after this payment was made I called Connect First to confirm the balance which they did approx $167.15 They then proceeded to take a full payment on Feb 16 of $******, I contacted them as soon as they opened feb 16, their employee *** told me they always take a full payment at the end of the loan a credit the difference back in my case March 10/23. I did explain to her the difference is $657.55 and march 10, was a unacceptable delay in getting my funds back. So far I have spoken to 3 different representatives of Connect First Credit Union, and have not received my $$$ back.Connect First you are excellent at taking my money, how about getting better a administering you loans (taking only what is owed to you) and refunding YOUR clients as quick as you collect from them

      When it comes to legal matters, this credit union is not to be trusted. Any incurred costs that they want to apply to your loan, they will. That includes outside representative that THEY choose to do business with, they will bill onto you, without your consent and without a legally binding contract. I had to select a single star for rating, however if it were an option it would be a negative five star rating and a lawsuit!

      I moved to ******* in July of 2022. At that time I questioned a number of banking institutions as to whether they could provide me with the account profiles that I was requesting in order to accommodate my needs for on-line banking. From the very beginning my experience with personnel at the branch in ******* seems vastly different than those reported previously. My questions have been answered fully, time was devoted to establish the account profile I was requesting, all persons have acted professionally and with kindness and respect. I am most satisfied with the service I am currently receiving with one exception.My one concern is with the actual computer programme developed for the on-line banking. Based on my experience with on-line banking with other Credit Unions I find the current one in use is very slow, and in my opinion not well designed. It requires some significant improvement.
