Misuse of BBB Name and/or Logo
On 8/26/2024, 9/06/2024 and 10/18/2024, the Better Business Bureau contacted Suburban Summit Contracting LLC requesting for the removal of BBB Accredited Business Torch logos from their website. Suburban Summit Contracting LLC is not an accredited business. Therefore, this business is currently violating the BBB's name and logo policy and has falsely stated BBB accreditation or referenced BBB's name in an unauthorized manner, despite BBB's efforts to get the business to cease using BBB's trademark. This use of BBB's trademark constitutes trademark infringement and is a violation of trademark rights of the International Association of Better Business Bureaus.
This matter has been referred to the International Association of Better Business Bureaus (IABBB) for further action.
Accreditation Revocation
On 05/30/2024 this business's accreditation in the BBB was revoked by the BBB's Board of Directors due to failure by the business to adhere to the BBB requirement that Accredited Businesses meet and abide by the following standards:
1. Establish and maintain a positive track record in the marketplace.
1B. Fulfill all competency and trade licensing requirements.
2. Follow established legal and ethical advertising and selling practices, including, but not limited to, the BBB Code of Advertising.
2A. Work with BBB and agree to modify, substantiate or discontinue advertising and selling practices when recommended.
4. Openly identify the nature, location, and ownership of the business, and clearly and prominently disclose all material facts that bear on a customer’s decision to buy.
4A. Upon request, promptly provide BBB with all information requested to ensure adherence to BBB standards.
